Hey everyone! I know I haven't updated in a while. Nothing much has been going on except for our Full Orchestra Competition.

So our middle school went and performed at the Eisemann Center. We got all ones (Sweepstakes) and "Outstanding Middle School Orchestra of the Day". So that was great.

In case you don't know what Full Orchestra, it's band and orchestra. Together. Which is and great and dandy, except it's not. I'm joking, it's mostly great and dandy. There's a lot of things different about us though.

First off, uniforms. Band has a specific thing you have to wear. All the girls have the same dress and all the guys have the same suit. It's really cute. Orchestra's uniform is whatever you find at home that looks somewhat formal and is black. So there's band, looking crisp and professional, and then there's us, the ragtag army. Oof.

Second off, the directors. We have two Orchestra directors, Mr. H and Mrs. W. Band has three, I think. I only two of them, Mr. S and Mrs. B. Mr. S is scaryyyyyy. He's super strict but for some reason I like him. He seems like a good person for directing a middle school band.

Anyway, after the competition, we went and had lunch at Genghis Grill, where Yenna, Kylie, Diana, and I had a couple of oofs...

Okay, so I have this ever anxiety of ordering food. I just can't do it. Same with Yenna. So if you know how Genghis Grill works, you get stuff, and then they fry it for you with a "side". The name "side" was extremely misleading to me. "Side" means like noodles or rice and stuff like that. Diana and Kylie ordered well, and Yenna got confused and said no side. I just walked away... SO our orders came, and Kylie and Diana had normal looking things. Yenna and I had a bowl of stuff... It was kind of funny, but sad. Kylie gave us some noodles. Then about halfway through, Kylie remembered that she put peanut sauce. Yenna's allergic.

We were like, '"OH MY GOSH ARE YOU OKAY??"

Yenna's just like, "Yeah it's fine."

Then I was like, "ARE YOU LIKE, SUPER ALLERGIC??"

Kylie was like, "WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN??"

Yenna's like, "My throat will swell, that's all."

I was like, "Oh okay."

Then I was like, "Wait, doesn't that mean that you can't breathe?"

Yenna was like, "Yeah."

And then we started to freak out again.

Kylie was like, "OH MY GOSH, YOU'RE GOING TO DIE. I'M SO SORRY YENNA YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED."

I was like, "You have an epi-pen though, right?"

Yenna was silent.

Yenna was like, "I should have brought it."

READER, WHY AREN'T YOU FREAKING OUT?? DO YOU SEE HOW DANGEROUS THIS IS??

So I was like, "Okay okay, we need a smart person who can be a sort of doctor." Luckily a girl we'll call Saranya was at the next table, so we signaled her over.

Saranya said that Yenna needed to drink a lot of water and use the bathroom for some reasons that I didn't listen to.

Yenna drank a lot of water, and everything seemed fine. We ordered dessert, which were these mini cake things that were kind of expensive, but whatever. While we waited for the dessert to come, Yenna went to the restroom. Kylie went with her, worried to death.

While they were still in the restroom, the dessert came. I told Diana not to eat it but the poor baby was really hungry, so we ate some of it. Yenna and Kylie weren't coming back, so Diana went to go check on them.

I just sat there looking at the cake things... They still weren't coming back, so I asked Saranya to go check on them. They finally came back, then we ate the rest of the cake thing, and then we had a little trouble finding out the bill and such... I accidently left a five dollar bill for tip instead of a one. Eh. Lucky day for the waiter. We were the last ones out because of the bill and tip. We ran across the parking lot to our bus. It was embarrassing but not as embarrassing as the "side" thing.

So yes, we had a lot of oofs on that trip, but it ended well. Sort of.

I'll tell you how it ended.

I got off the bus yelling, "22 days of school left!" (which there was at the time) 2 yelled, "What are you [high] on?!?"

So yeah. Lovely day.

I can relate... I have severe food allergies. It was really nice of you guys to be concerned for her though, because that shows you care.

Love the new aesthetics of the blog Min-Jee :)
